[0:00] That's a a type that points to a reality
[0:03] that now through this faith in Jesus
[0:05] Christ in the waters of baptism, we
[0:08] travel through this thing to enter into
[0:10] the new promised land, the true promised
[0:12] land, heaven.
[0:14] So, those are just kind of some
[0:15] examples. I'm going to give you some
[0:17] some uh here to close out
[0:19] in detail. And there's many more. These
[0:21] are just three of my favorite ones.
[0:24] The first one is Abraham and Isaac.
[0:27] The typology here is beautiful. This is
[0:30] a type of God the Father and Jesus.
[0:33] Abraham was to offer Isaac, and it says
[0:35] in Genesis chapter 22 verse 2,
[0:38] God said, "Take your son, your only son,
[0:42] and offer him to me as a sacrifice on
[0:45] the mountain which I will tell you."
[0:47] Okay, clue right there. A father's
[0:49] taking his only son, right?
[0:52] And then he says
[0:53] it says that they arrive there and and
[0:55] then Isaac, the son, carries the wood on
[0:58] his back for the sacrifice.
[1:01] And he goes up this mountain called
[1:03] Mount Moriah.
[1:05] Right? So, now you have the son carrying
[1:07] wood on his back to be sacrificed.
[1:11] The third point, Isaac asked
[1:14] his father Abraham, "Fa- Father,
[1:17] where's the sacrifice?
[1:20] We didn't bring a We brought the fire.
[1:22] We brought the knife. We brought the
[1:23] wood. Where's the lamb? Where's the
[1:25] sacrifice?"
[1:28] I think he already had kind of an idea
[1:30] what was happening here.
