[0:00] all are one in Jesus Christ. So, now

[0:02] with Jesus Christ, God has finally

[0:05] opened up access to the Father through

[0:09] the Son, Jesus Christ, and we have

[0:11] access to the Father because of him. The

[0:13] whole world now has access to him.

[0:17] The first five covenant types were

[0:19] stages that culminated in the final

[0:20] covenant, the sending of God's only

[0:23] begotten Son to reconcile the world to

[0:26] himself.

[0:27] The sixth and final covenant

[0:28] accomplishes God's plan of salvation for

[0:30] his children through Jesus Christ and

[0:32] his church. So, now you have the plan

[0:35] that is now culminated in the Messiah.

[0:38] All of the other ones

[0:40] pointed to Jesus.

[0:41] Um Abraham was the type of Jesus. Moses

[0:44] was the type of Jesus. All these were

[0:47] all but just these figures that pointed

[0:49] to him.

[0:50] So, this is what we call typology. They

[0:52] were types. They were signs or symbols

[0:55] in the Old Testament that pointed to a

[0:57] New Testament reality. And so, when we

[1:00] start to understand the Bible in light

[1:02] of typology,

[1:04] this really opens up the understanding

[1:07] because now what's hidden in the old is

[1:09] completely revealed in the new. And it's

[1:11] beautiful, and it is so

[1:14] um massive. There's so much in there

[1:16] that when I first started just reading

[1:18] the Bible, I read through the whole

[1:19] Bible.

[1:20] Okay, you know,

[1:22] Jesus, all the stuff I could say about I

[1:24] remember the Gospels, everything else,

[1:26] but

[1:27] to really see the the picture and start

[1:29] to understand what it is happening,

[1:32] blew my

[1:32] >> [snorts]

[1:33] >> And typology is one of those

[1:35] ways of understanding scripture that

[1:38] is crucial

[1:40] to be able to truly understand what the

[1:43] scriptures are talking about.
